Forever Plaid | Fathom Video Contest Overview:

 

The Forever Plaid Video Contest opens the floor for fans to videotape their own versions of the songs featured in the Forever Plaid musical. Contestants can participate by tagging and uploading their YouTube video to their own channel on YouTube. Once the video is uploaded to YouTube, it will be automatically posted on the Forever Plaid contest site (http://foreverplaid.fathomevents.com) where anyone can vote for their favorite video. The winning group receiving the most votes will have their video shown on the big screen during the 20th Anniversary Forever Plaid Special, being simulcast into select movie theaters nationwide for One Night on July 9th.  The winning video will also be included in the Forever Plaid DVD, scheduled for release in December 2009. Below are the contest guidelines:

 

Video Contest Submission Guidelines:

 

  1. To be eligible for contest, entrants must be of 18 years of age.

  1. The winning contestants must allow NCM and Forever Plaid Productions to broadcast the winning video during the live in-theatre event on July 9th, 2009 and to include the video on the Forever Plaid DVD, scheduled for release in December 2009.  The winning contestants must sign a release form authorizing their release.

  1. To apply for contest, video entries must be uploaded to YouTube and tagged with “ForeverPlaid09” beginning at 12 am on June 1, 2009 and ending at11:59pm on June 22, 2009. The title of each YouTube video will be placed under that video on the Forever Plaid contest site, and will be used to identify the video submissions. It is recommended that each video title be named carefully and uniquely for ease of identifying that video on the Forever Plaid contest site.

  1. Each entrant/group is to submit a video of an original performance of one (1) song from Forever Plaid, and videos must accurately represent entrants.

  1. There is no group size restriction for entry – both single and group entrants are eligible to win.

  1. Entrants are invited to promote their videos online through the provided contest entry tool kit, but they may use additional methods outside the provided tool kit to promote their entries.

  1. Each viewer may vote for each video only one (1) time per day during June 1, 2009 – June 24, 2009.

  1. Videos with inappropriate, offensive or unnecessary content will be disqualified.

  1. Contest winners will be announced during the 20th Anniversary Forever Plaid Special event on July 9th taking place in select movie theaters nationwide. The video (or a portion thereof) will be shown onscreen during the live event and included on the Forever Plaid DVD, slated for release in December 2009.  A full list of participating theater locations can be found at www.FathomEvents.com.  One winning group/person will be chosen based on the most votes received on the site between the dates of June 1st – June 24th.

    Finalists must be available during the week of June 29th as NCM Fathom will send out a professional video crew to videotape the winning performance, in high definition, in preparation for the live broadcast on July 9th.

 

Grand Prize:

 

·         The winning video (or a portion thereof) will be shown on movie screens nationwide participating in the 20th Anniversary Forever Plaid Special event on July 9th

·         The winning video will be included in the Forever Plaid DVD.

·         The winning individual/group will receive five (5) autographed copies of the Forever Plaid DVD.

Official Rules
No Purchase Necessary to Enter or Win

 

1.     General Information:  The FATHOM FOREVER PLAID CONTEST begins at 12:01 a.m, EST on June 1, 2009 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on June 24, 2009.  No purchase is necessary to enter or win.  Purchase does not improve odds of winning. 

2.     Eligibility: The contest is open solely to legal residents of one of the fifty United States and of the District of Columbia, who are at least 18 years of age as of June 1, 2009.  Void where prohibited by law.  All participants in any submitted video must be 18 years of age.  All participants in each video will be bound by these official rules. 

3.     To Enter:  Entries for the FATHOM FOREVER PLAID CONTEST can be made as follows: Entrants must upload an original performance of a song from the Forever Plaid musical to their own YouTube account and tag the video with “ForeverPlaid09”.  Videos must accurately represent entrants.  Entrants must hold all rights to content submitted for the contest, except for the song performed from the Forever Plaid musical. Neither NCM nor its affiliates or promotional partners shall be responsible for Internet entries that are incorrectly tagged, corrupted or otherwise not received correctly or for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of e-mail, or on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet.  NCM reserves the right to terminate, modify or suspend the sweepstakes in the event of technical difficulty, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or for any other reason which may corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the sweepstakes.  In the event of a dispute, Internet entries will be deemed made by the holder of the e-mail account from which the entry was made. 

4.     Winner Selection:   One Prize winning video (“Prize Winner”)  will be chosen from all eligible entries received based on majority of qualified votes.  Voting ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on June 24, 2009.  By participating, entrants agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of NCM, which are binding on all matters pertaining to the contest.  Odds of winning will be determined by the total number of eligible entries received and number of qualified votes. Finalists will be notified on or around June 25, 2009. Entries will be void if contact information is not current, accurate or legible.  Finalists must be available during week of June 29, 2009 for possible reproduction of video submission into a higher definition format suitable for showing on movie screens.

5.     Prize and Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”):  The video/performance or a portion of their video/performance will be shown during the 20th Anniversary Forever Plaid Special in participating movie theaters on July 9, 2009 (“Special Event”): will have their video/performance or a portion thereof included in the Forever Plaid DVD;, and will receive five (5) copies of the Forever Plaid DVD autographed by various cast members (ARV $100). No monetary consideration, royalties or other economic consideration will be granted to Prize Winner in connection with presentation of the winning video at the Special Event or the DVD.  These items may not be returned, exchanged or refunded.  The winning notice or voucher may not be exchanged for cash or credit.  NCM reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value in its sole discretion.  Prizes are not transferable (including to relatives or friends) or redeemable for cash.  Any federal, state and local taxes on prizes, and any expenses associated with contest participation or prize redemption, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Any difference between actual value and stated ARV will not be awarded.

6.     General Rules:  The contest is open solely to legal residents of one of the fifty United States and of the District of Columbia, who are at least 18 years of age as of June 1, 2009.  Void where prohibited by law.  The contest is not open to any employees of NCM, Ignite Social Media, Pure Brand Communications, Forever Plaid Productions or affiliate, Regal Entertainment Group, Inc., AMC Entertainment, Inc., Cinemark USA, Inc., and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, owners, employees and agents, and their immediate families and those persons living in the same household as such individuals (the “Contest Group”).  Prize Winner(s) may be required to sign for receipt and acceptance of the contest prize.  Prize winner(s) will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability and Publicity Release within three (3) business days of attempted notification or the winner(s) may be disqualified and an alternate winner selected.  Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for any member of the Contest Group to use the winner’s name, likeness, voice, opinions, video submission and any statements attributable to him/her for promotional purposes without further authorization, compensation or remuneration of any kind except where prohibited by law.

7.     Disclaimer:  NCM is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, destroyed, delayed, stolen, misdirected, incomplete or illegible entries, or other errors of any kind.  Prizes shall be awarded “as is, where is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation any warranty of merchantability or suitability for a particular purpose, and acceptance of prizes shall constitute agreement by the winner to look solely to the manufacturer or other purveyor of the prize and the warranty provided by it, if any, should any defects in the prize exist or arise.

8.     Release and Indemnity:  By participating in this contest, entrants agrees: (i) to be bound by these Official Rules and by all applicable laws and decisions of Sponsor which shall be binding and final; (ii) to waive any rights to claim ambiguity with respect to these Official Rules; (iii) to waive all of his/her rights to bring any claim, action, or proceeding against Sponsor in connection with the Contest; and (iv)to release, indemnify and hold harmless the members of the Contest Group from and against any and all liability (including, but not limited to, liability, defamation, libel, slander, invasion of privacy, infringement of publicity or intellectual property rights), damages or causes of action (however named or described) with respect to or arising out of either (i) the entrant’s participation, or (ii) the receipt or use of any prize awarded in the contest.  Prize Winner assume all liability for any injury, death, or damage caused, or allegedly caused, by participating in this sweepstakes or use or redemption of a prize.  All material submitted becomes the sole Property of Sponsor and Forever Plaid Productions.  Any disputes which may arise hereunder shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the State of Colorado without regard to the conflicts of laws principles of any jurisdiction.  Venue with respect to any such disputes shall be had in the state and federal courts of the State of Colorado.
